Erin's first Day of School

Today was Erin's 1st day of school. We are sooooo proud of her. She has come a lllllooooonnnnnggggg way in the last 5 1/2 years. Everything she sets her mind to, she accomplishes. Even though it was school, she had a blast. I told her that we would walk to school, since it's only about 1/2 of a mile or so from home. My current plan is to walk most of the time as long as I'm not scheduled to work that day. She misses being home, but also looks forward to going to school each day. We know, things could change. But she didn't get tired of going to Pre-school. So, we are very hopeful. Found out today that 1 of her new friends in class lives approx. 5 buildings down the street from us. She was happy to walk home with him. As long as she continues to walk & talk all day, she'll be going to bed around 7:30pm. That makes her mommy & daddy happy.
